Overview
One Leisure St Ives is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recreation Assistant. This multifaceted role is perfect for a vigilant lifeguard with a passion for community service and a knack for organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of our guests in the pool area, providing friendly reception cover, and facilitating the setup and takedown of various sports activities and an opportunity to work in the gym. You will ideally have experience as a lifeguard, although training can be provided to the right candidate.

This role gives anyone new into the industry the opportunity to gain a wide variety of qualifications and experience within a leisure environment. Interviews for suitable candidates will be arranged during the campaign, and will include a swim test where the following will be assessed:
Swim test requirements
* Swim 50 m in less than 1 minute
* Swim 100 m continuously on your front and 100 m on your back
* Tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds
* Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
* Climb out of the pool unaided
Requirements and conditions
* This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
* An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK.
* Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or sponsorship for this role.
