Project Manager - the role
As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of strategic initiatives at The O2, working closely with the Director of Strategy, General Manager, and senior leadership team. You will manage projects end to end, from concept to implementation, delivering measurable improvements in guest experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
This role suits a Project Manager with experience in hospitality, live venues, construction-led or refurbishment environments, or similarly complex operations, where projects combine physical spaces, operational change, and digital or systems-enabled processes. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, live environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Delivery
• Lead the planning and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This includes annual Capex planning and delivery.
• Develop clear project plans covering objectives, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and governance.
• Deliver projects that may include venue enhancements, refurbishment or construction elements, operational change, and digital initiatives.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational leaders, project sponsors, suppliers, and partners.
• Coordinate effectively across operational, technical, digital, and third-party teams.
• Communicate progress, decisions, and outcomes clearly, managing expectations and resolving issues constructively.
Resource & Financial Management
• Plan and manage resources effectively, including people, budgets, technology, and external suppliers.
• Identify capacity or capability gaps and work collaboratively to address them.
• Maintain financial control, ensuring projects deliver clear commercial value.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
• Define and track KPIs to measure delivery success, operational impact, and return on investment.
• Produce concise, insightful reporting on progress, risks, and benefits realisation.
• Use performance data to inform decisions and support continuous improvement.
People, Change & Capability
• Work with venue and functional leaders to maintain engagement and focus on great food and hospitality.
• Support performance management, succession planning, and talent development where projects impact teams.
• Ensure clear communication during periods of change and coordinate training to support new processes or systems.

What we're looking for
A background in hospitality, venues, construction-led environments, retail, leisure, or similarly complex commercial operations with strong transferable project management skills.
Experience delivering projects that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, physical environments, and commercial performance.
Exposure to projects involving construction or refurbishment activity, operational change, and digital systems.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and complex cost models.
A structured, analytical, and data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
The ability to translate strategic objectives into practical, deliverable plans.
Flexibility, resilience, and comfort operating at pace in a live environment.
