Overview
Role: Corporate Improvement Delivery Manager. Full-time fixed-term position for 12 months to meet the demands of the service. Lead a team within the Corporate Transformation Team focusing on a programme of process re-engineering, optimising processes and identifying automation opportunities to drive cashable savings and service improvements. Collaborate with Directorates/Service areas to share knowledge and expertise. Lead the cross-functional improvement community, sharing and applying improvement techniques aligned to strategic objectives. Work with IT to ensure readiness for new technologies and embed benefits that are trackable.
Provide expertise to assist in the development of Business Cases, Project Plans and cost-benefit analyses. Provide independent analysis and review of business change proposals, including savings proposals vetting, validation and prioritisation. Deputise for the Head Of Service/Strategic Lead at various meetings as required.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate, direct and lead the Corporate Improvement Programme to ensure change and transformation programmes meet the organisation’s financial and operational objectives; engage Directors and the Corporate Support Team to provide governance for risk management and benefit realisation.
* Develop and implement corporate processes and procedures; direct project management staff; define, prioritise and deliver improvements and develop Agile change management and programme deliverables.
* Establish and manage the programme management function to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently within scope, time, cost and quality.
* Lead and coordinate a wide range of resource expertise during improvement stages; ensure linkages and avoid duplication of effort or conflicting outcomes across directorates; manage business case scoping.
* Engage with the corporate strategy team, elected members, officers and stakeholder groups on programme planning, milestones, risk and issues management, and customer engagement.
* Manage financials, resource forecasting, change control, dependency management and ensure delivery of key change objectives to realise budget savings.
* Be part of the Corporate Transformation Management Team and deputise for the Head Of Service/Strategic Lead at meetings, including chairing Corporate Programme Boards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience leading cross-functional improvement programmes and transformation projects.
* Ability to develop business cases, project plans and cost-benefit analyses; independent review of change proposals and savings proposals.
* Strong governance, risk management and performance reporting capabilities; ability to drive customer-focused service improvements.
* Stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration across directorates and with IT teams.
Compensation
* GRADES 12
* Pay Range: £55,058.00 - £59,021.00
