We are looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic primary class teacher to join this improving and forward-thinking special needs school for their youngest pupils. This is a Nurture Teaching post, ideal for EYFS/Early Years Practitioners looking to move into SEN. All pupils have a diagnosis of ASD and SLCN and are learning below their age range, including lots of sensory activities and learning through play.
If you are a teacher currently working in mainstream but looking for something a little different, this could be for you. We would also be keen to hear from candidates already working within the specialist sector.
The school has very high standards and aspirations for the children. They focus on each student achieving their individual potential rather than phonics screening or SATS results. The aim of their curriculum is to ensure students are well prepared for life beyond school, including self-care, communication, independence, social skills, as well as English and Maths.
Please be aware that it is not required for candidates to hold a specific SEN qualification to be considered for this role.
If you are a creative Teacher with expert knowledge of differentiation to meet the needs of children with SEND or a love for real-life interactive teaching strategies, we would love to hear from you.
Teamwork is essential in all classes, and successful applicants will work as part of a supportive team. This includes your class team of Progress Partners, therapists, support staff, and the school team.
