* £30,053 per annum pro rata

We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused Volunteer Coordinator to be responsible for our database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that volunteers are effectively integrated into the organisation and have a positive and rewarding experience while supporting Restore's objectives.
Job responsibilities:
* Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding
* Develop and implement strategies to attract a diverse range of volunteers
* Create role descriptions and advertise opportunities through appropriate channels
* Screen, interview and match volunteers to suitable roles
* Oversee onboarding processes including induction and training
* Volunteer Management
* Maintain accurate volunteer records using appropriate systems or databases
* Schedule and coordinate volunteer shifts, ensuring adequate cover
* Provide ongoing support, supervision, and recognition to volunteers
* Address any issues or concerns raised by or about volunteers in a timely and sensitive manner
* Training and Development
* Identify training needs, organise training sessions to develop volunteer skills and knowledge
* Monitoring and Evaluation
* Track volunteer hours and contributions for reporting and impact assessment
* Gather feedback and evaluate volunteer satisfaction
* Communication and Engagement
* Act as a key point of contact for all volunteers
* Keep volunteers informed and engaged through regular updates and communications
General duties:
* Ensure all volunteer activities are in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and GDPR policies
* Work collaboratively with staff, Trustees and stakeholders to promote a positive volunteer culture
* Contribute to reports, grant applications or evaluations where volunteer data is required
Person specification
Essential:
* Experience in volunteering and recruitment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent organisational and team-building skills
* Confident using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office)
* Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
* Flexible, proactive and problem-solving approach
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality protocols
Desirable:
* Experience working in the charity or non-profit sector
* Knowledge of volunteer-related legislation and best practices
* Experience organising training
