Job Description:
This global FMCG company is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their expanding HR team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will provide practical, commercial, and ethical HR advice to line managers in line with the company values. This position is based onsite at London Gatwick, and hybrid working is not available. The role can be Full or Part Time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for managers seeking HR advice.
2. Coach and support managers through HR processes (absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance procedures).
3. Create tools to upskill line managers and increase their confidence and competence.
4. Work across business areas as needed to support key processes such as pay review, performance calibration, employee engagement action planning, and talent mapping.
5. Optimize processes and offer suggestions for streamlining and automation.
6. Build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Support the seamless implementation and revisions of HR processes across all UK sites.
8. Oversee all HR aspects related to compliance with payroll, recruitment, and the employee lifecycle.
9. Assist with change management processes.
10. Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legislation.
11. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and provide feedback recommendations for changes.
12. Deliver training aligned with behaviors and culture.
Knowledge and Skills:
CIPD qualified (desirable).
Management of HR-related IT programs and systems.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with difficult and sensitive situations, make critical decisions, and excellent written and communication skills.
Stakeholder management skills both internally and externally, and forward-thinking.
Experience:
Employee relations, including complex cases defining strategic direction and detailed policies.
Ability to effectively motivate diverse teams, drive engagement, increase capability, professional excellence, and performance.
Ability to influence at a senior level.
Employment law and technical knowledge.
