Job Description
Cath Kidston focuses on attention to detail, unique styling, and using print and colour to bring joy. The design evokes nostalgia yet is practical for everyday life.
We have an opportunity for a Print Designer to join the Cath Kidston team at Next. You will design across fashion categories and third‑party licenses in fashion & beauty, especially for global licences and collaborations. Our designers look forward to the Next thing, focusing on trends and pushing boundaries to offer our fantastic customer base new and innovative print designs.
Responsibilities
* Design print collections across various categories, ensuring alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and market needs.
* Produce a variety of print repeats, placements, and colourways tailored to specific markets.
* Deeply understand the brand’s heritage and ethos, innovate and contemporise designs so they resonate with the brand and customers.
* Brief suppliers and nurture strong relationships; collaborate with the wider team to support the entire design process.
Qualifications
* Passion for the brand and its values, evident in your designs.
* Designer‑level experience at a similar brand, with a nuanced understanding of print design and brand identity.
* Creative mindset paired with a collaborative approach, essential for working effectively with the team.
* Print design expertise—comfortable creating prints that resonate with vintage influences and contemporary trends.
* Strong sense of taste, keen eye for detail, and passion for staying updated on industry trends.
* Excellent communication skills for conveying ideas and collaborating with team members and external partners.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks while maintaining high quality.
