About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer within the construction supply industry, is seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver / Yard worker to join their team. Operating within a modern, fast-paced production environment, this role is essential in ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and handling of products across the site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment
2. Load and unload deliveries with accuracy and care
3. Transport materials to production and storage areas
4. Conduct routine equipment checks and report faults
5. Ensure stock is correctly handled and stored
6. Support warehouse and production teams as required
7. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
8. Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
9. Comply with company policies and best practices
10. Assist with general warehouse duties when needed
Person Specification
Essential
11. Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach preferred)
12. Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments
13. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
14. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
15. Good communication skills
16. Reliable and flexible approach to work
Desirable
17. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
18. Knowledge of stock control and warehouse processes
19. Experience with warehouse or inventory management systems
