You will join a team comprising 6 Consultants, 1 Respiratory Nurse Consultant, 7 Nurse specialists (sleep, lung cancer, NIV), an in-patient Respiratory practitioner team, a fully equipped Respiratory Physiology department, and staff in a dynamic, rapidly evolving department. The department is reconfiguring to allow targeted sub-specialty work and a 7-day respiratory service across the region.
Applicants should have extensive General Respiratory experience with expertise in Pleural, ILD, Allergy, or Lung cancer. Sub-specialty interests are welcome and will be accommodated. Interest in Intensive care, Infectious diseases, or acute medicine is also desirable.
The role includes weekly EBUS and Pleural lists (including IPC insertion), covering the acute ward, and the in-reach service. There has been a recent increase in respiratory nurses to support inpatient and outpatient services. The sleep and domiciliary NIV service is among the largest in the country and has recently expanded staff support following a successful business case.
