We are currently looking for an Arboriculture Consultant to join our team, with consideration for applications from the offices in Reading, London, Brighton, Bristol, or High Wycombe. This role offers growth prospects within an ambitious team, providing ample opportunities for career progression.
Your primary focus will be on infrastructure projects, including highways, energy, and water sectors nationwide, initially focusing on the south. You will be part of our environmental team, reporting to the head of arboriculture, supporting the design and construction of infrastructure projects alongside town planners, environmental consultants, ecologists, landscape architects, and others.
A typical week might involve working on planning applications and projects that benefit from permitted development rights. Responsibilities include conducting BS5837 tree surveys, producing arboriculture impact assessments, hedgerow surveys, coordinating TPO applications, engaging with tree officers and stakeholders, supporting design teams on arboriculture issues, and advising on tree protection and mitigation on construction sites.

About You
* You will have a degree or a minimum Level 3 Arboriculture qualification, such as HNC Arb, AA Tech Cert, or NDip Arb.
* Experience in delivering comprehensive arboricultural reports within tight deadlines to meet client requirements.
* Understanding of conducting tree surveys in accordance with BS 5837:2012.
* Strong communication skills and an innovative, pragmatic approach to design and construction environments.
* Familiarity with CAD, digital survey hardware, software, and GIS.
* Proactive attitude with the ability to manage arboricultural subcontractors when needed.
