If you’re an electrically biased maintenance engineer who enjoys the pace of high-speed production but values work-life balance, this could be the move for you.
This is a modern, well-invested food manufacturing site with strong order books, consistent investment, and clear plans for growth.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be keeping production running — simple as that.
From fast-moving packaging lines to processing equipment, you’ll be:
Fault finding on conveyors, checkweighers, slicers and automated machinery
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns
Supporting upgrades and improvement projects
Working to BRC and food safety standards
This isn’t just firefighting. They want engineers who can spot issues early and drive reliability.
The ShiftDouble Days rotation:
Week 1: 05:30 – 14:00
Week 2: 13:30 – 22:00
Plus one mandatory Saturday every four weeks — paid at a premium rate, boosting your earnings comfortably above £48k.
No nights. No permanent weekends.
What They’re Looking For
Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent)
Experience in FMCG, food, or high-speed manufacturing
Confident fault finding and ability to read electrical drawings
Basic PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley etc.)
Calm under pressure and able to think on your feet
