Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen with my client for a Base Maintenance Shift Supervisor. Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Base Shift Supervisor will lead the shift, carry certification on the zones/area of the aircraft assigned to the shift.

Location: Prestwick
Hours: On a 5 on 4 off shift pattern - 07:00 - 19:00 - 12 hour shifts
Responsibilities:
* Control, supervise, and allocate work tasks during the shift to ensure productivity and adherence to timelines.
* Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and supporting professional development.
* Report significant defects promptly and compile Occurrence Reports.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities and issues.
* Allocate tasks to keep the Base in a clean and acceptable state.
* Ensure staff have proper training and resources.
* Exercise privileges of authorisation responsibly, adhering to standards.
* Ensure personal licenses and authorisations are valid and up-to-date.
* Support C-Cert with final CRS and exercise certification privileges when required.
* Stay current with Base procedures and operator procedures, ensuring compliance.
* Participate in training sessions for updates in procedures.
* Track 'man-hours' accurately for self and team.
* Maintain Health & Safety standards according to company policy.
* Perform other tasks as requested, demonstrating flexibility.
* Propose improvements to enhance operations and staff satisfaction.
* Improve communication within the team.
* Encourage leadership training for supervisory skills development.
* Facilitate feedback and foster a collaborative environment.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Diploma, recognised Apprenticeship, or relevant qualification in the aircraft industry or similar.
* Base Maintenance Experience.
* CAA/EASA Part 66 Licence with C Licence for relevant types.
* UKCAA B1 with relevant type ratings and 6 months recency in the past 2 years.
* Types: A320, B737 & C-CERT.
* Minimum of 5 years certifying aircraft with an EASA Part 66 licence and appropriate authorisation.
* Management experience in aviation, preferably managing Licensed Engineers.
* Knowledge of airworthiness regulation, MOE, MEL, SRM, and technical data limits.
* Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
* High standard of English (written and oral).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
