Chartered Building Surveyor – Colchester

An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy in Colchester.
This role offers a varied workload, autonomy, and the chance to lead on a broad range of projects across commercial, residential, and public sectors.
What’s involved: You’ll be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion – scoping and preparing fee proposals, delivering high-quality technical reports, leading inspections and site reviews, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff.

What we’re looking for:
MRICS qualified, with proven post-qualification experience
A degree in Building Surveying or similar discipline
Strong background in project management and contract administration
Knowledge of surveying procedures, building design, and engineering principles
Confident preparing and delivering technical reports
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Comfortable working closely with clients and other professionals
Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
The offer:
Salary between £45,000 - £60,000, depending on experience
