Level 3 Nursery Room Lead (2-3 Year Olds) Required: 01 September 2026 Permanent Hours: 32.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday, Term time only Salary: Grade 3 (points 9 - 22) FTE £27,254 - £33,699. Actual salary £21,455 - £26,528. Pegasus Primary School is opening a brand-new nursery provision in September 2026 for children aged 2–4 years. Our nursery is being designed to provide a high-quality early years environment that supports children’s curiosity, communication, creativity and independence through carefully planned learning experiences and purposeful play. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and ambitious Level 3 Nursery Room Lead to join our growing Early Years team and help establish a nurturing, inspiring and high-quality nursery environment for our youngest learners. About the Role You will work closely with the EYFS Teacher and wider nursery team, to lead on the day to day running of the 2-3 year old nursery room, to provide high-quality care, learning opportunities and nurturing support for young children. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day running of the 2–3 year old nursery room Assist with the planning, delivery and evaluate high-quality EYFS provision Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing Supervise and guide nursery practitioners within the room Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance Build strong relationships with parents and carers Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records What We’re Looking For Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential) Experience working with children aged 2–3 years Leadership or supervisory experience in an early years setting Strong understanding of the EYFS framework A caring, proactive and organised approach Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare About the School Pegasus is a one-form entry, family-oriented school, in the heart of North Birmingham.
