Overview
Mencap is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Warwickshire, Leamington Spa. This is a Community care role providing support to individuals in their own homes across the Leamington Spa area in the CV34, CV32 and CV31 post codes.
Role: Support Worker - Warwickshire at Mencap
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Supporting people to live independently, including budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious, healthy meals.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building to help the people we support understand the world around them and promote positive relationships.
* Community and social inclusion—support individuals to access and participate in local community events and activities to develop life skills and individuality.
* Personal care assistance as needed, including prompting medication and helping with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom. Note: not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
What We're Looking For
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Enjoys cooking.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options
* Part-time: 30 - 35 hours
Shift Times
* Days: Between 07:00 and 22:00. Rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help plan personal and social life.
