Job Title: Commercial Electrician
Location: Derby
Salary: £38,000.00 - £46,000.00 per year
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable and growing Fire and Security system company for a qualified and experienced Commercial Electrician to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, company van, tools, and great benefits.
Responsibilities
* Complete EICRs, Minor Works, and Installation Certificates
* Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
* Conduct inspection and testing to the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
* Install and maintain electrical systems including lighting, power, and heating
* Ensure work is compliant with safety and building regulations
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and trades on site
* Keep accurate records of all work, materials, and time
* Follow all company Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* City & Guilds #removed# (18th Edition) - Essential
* City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing) - Essential
* City & Guilds 2377 (PAT Testing) - Desirable (or willing to work towards)
* ECS Gold Card or equivalent
* Full UK Driving Licence - Essential
* CSCS/ECS Card - Preferred

* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, self-motivated, and well-organised
* Team player with a commitment to high standards and safe practices
* Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as needed
Desirable Experience
* Installation of EV Chargers and renewable technologies (e.g., solar PV)
* Commercial project experience including new builds, refurbishments, and maintenance
* Knowledge of Fire Alarms, CCTV, or Security Systems
Salary and Benefits
* £38,000 - £46,000 per year (dependent on experience)
* Company van and fuel card
