Flutter UK&I is evolving its technology foundations to support long-term growth, innovation, and operational excellence. At the heart of this evolution is Enablement 2.0 — reimagining core technology capabilities as long-lived product organisations that power our customer-facing tribes (Sports, Customer, Gaming) and provide critical services across the region and group. This role will be part of the EnablementSuperTribeleadership team.
As theEnablement Director – Data & AI,reporting to the MD of Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in this transformation. You willbe responsible forcreating a world-class engineering environment by leading our Data, and AI Platform functions. Your mission is to deliver the next-generation Data and AI platforms that enables our Product Development teams and the wider business to accelerate the delivery of capabilities to our customers.
What you’ll do
As a key member of the Enablement Leadership Team, you will provide the vision, strategy, and leadership for our core product enablement domains. This includes;
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Data Platform, AI Platform
2. Build and lead distributed, multi-disciplinary teams that design, deliver, andoperateinternal products with a focus on reliability, cost efficiency, and engineering productivity.
3. Partner with leaders across Product and Engineering in a "two-in-a-box" model to ensure your platform roadmaps align with business priorities.
4. Drive the vision and delivery of the next-generation AI platform to unlock new business capabilities and supercharge the business.
5. Champion a "platform-as-a-product" approach, focused on delivering capabilities that areleveragedacross the organisation.
6. Drive key technical and architectural decisions for the data, AI, and developer experience landscapes.
7. Own the budget, workforce planning, and supplier management for your domains.
8. Actively contribute to the Enablement Leadership Team, shaping the evolution of our strategy, operating model, and culture.
How you’ll do it
9. Proven Technology Leader: A significanttrack recordat a senior level leading Data, AI, and Platform Engineering functions in a complex, fast-paced tech environment.
10. Strategic Programme Delivery: Strong experience leading Data and AI initiatives and a proven ability to deliver key strategic programmes in this area from concept to value realisation.
11. Technical Depth: Deepexpertisein modern data platforms, data engineering, AI/ML enablement, cloud technologies, and developer experience principles.
12. Platform Experience: You have successfully built and scaled central technology platforms, ideally shifting teams from a project to a product-oriented operating model.
13. Strategic Thinker: You can create a compelling vision that connects business needs with technology solutions and execute against it.
14. Exceptional People Leader: You are passionate about developing talent and have a proven ability to attract,retain, and grow top engineers and leaders in a distributed model.
15. Highly Collaborative: You build trust and influence at all levels and have a proven ability to work effectively in matrixed environments, particularly in a "two-in-a-box" product and engineering structure.
