Responsibilities
Claims Adjusters will be working on files with reserves up to US$250,000, and sometimes higher on a referral basis, with the vast majority of losses coming through the broker channel. You will be responsible for managing your caseload on a cradle‑to‑grave basis; establishing quantum, investigating the circumstances around a loss, and appointing adjustors. You will keep accurate records of all work undertaken, regularly update in‑house and London Market claims systems, and, when required, compile accurate management information for a range of stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Superb problem‑solving and negotiation skills, keen eye for detail, ability to work on multiple files simultaneously.
* Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, including the ability to hold difficult conversations with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
* Fluent written communication, competent with bespoke computer packages, highly numerate, and comfortable analysing data to spot trends and anomalies.
* Relevant experience in commercial claims or personal injury background – from insurers, brokers or legal firms. Experience in EL/PL, RTA, Commercial Property or London Market claims is welcome.
Location & Working Arrangements
The office is located close to Leeds railway station with excellent public transport links. You may work from home one day per week. Opportunities for progression locally or relocation to London are available if desired.
