About The Role Cigna offers a unique opportunity for experienced audit professionals to be part of a high-performing internal audit team within one of the world's leading healthcare companies. As a member of the International Internal Audit function, you will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the region to provide risk-based assurance and drive control enhancements in a dynamic, multicultural, and fast-growing environment. This role provides exposure to governing bodies of the European and North America entities and offers the chance to contribute to the governance of a Fortune 15 global organisation. You'll Be Responsible For: The Internal Audit Advisor will support the Europe and North America Senior Manager in the execution of the regional audit plan, leading end-to-end audits and supervising audit teams, when relevant. This role combines technical audit delivery with leadership, offering a meaningful opportunity to ensure strong governance practices are in place, including internal controls across Cigna's Europe and North America operations. There may be the opportunity to work out with these regions on an ad-hoc basis. Lead end-to-end execution of audits including planning, fieldwork and reporting across operational, financial, and compliance areas in accordance with the approved audit plan Supervise audit and provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training Assess business processes to provide assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls, and identify key risks and control gaps, offering practical and value-adding recommendations Collaborate with regional functions including Finance, Quality Assurance, Compliance and Risk Management to promote a unified approach to assurance. Engage in risk assessment activities and contribute to the development and refinement of the annual audit plan. Participate in governance meetings, regulatory interactions, and audit committee presentations, as needed. Support tracking and validation of management action plans arising from audit findings. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices in auditing. Managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Navigating cross-functional dependencies within a matrix structure. Enhance confidence in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration. Gain exposure to strategic initiatives and regional governance processes. What You'll Bring to the Role Bachelor' s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. Previous experience in a relevant role, including exposure in a senior role within Insurance, Financial Services or consultancy. Professional Certifications such as CPA or CIA (in progress acceptable). Strong familiarity with European regulatory requirements. Exposure to risk-based auditing, internal control frameworks, and governance structures. Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong report writing and presentation skills. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities. Proven leadership and mentoring capability. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. High integrity, critical thinking, and sound professional judgement.
