As the Family Group Conference Manager, you will play a pivotal role in championing the rights of children and families within our community. You will lead the development and implementation of a new FGC offer in Slough, overseeing the recruitment and management of Family Group Conference Coordinators. You will champion the principles of FGC within Children’s Services and across our partnerships, advocating for the meaningful involvement of families in decision-making processes. You will provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the FGC Service, promoting a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and refine the FGC offer in line with the needs of our community, ensuring that it aligns with best practices and statutory requirements. As the Family Group Conference Manager, you will have a strong commitment to the rights of children and families, with a deep understanding of the principles of Family Group Conferencing, along with proven experience in leadership and service development. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders, you will need to be a qualified Social Worker with a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and family support services.
