About the Role
As Journal Manager, you will be responsible for the operational oversight of a portfolio of academic journals. This includes optimizing journal configurations and workflows to enhance performance. You will cultivate and maintain professional relationships with global stakeholders—including society partners, editors, authors, reviewers, and internal teams—primarily through email correspondence and virtual meetings.

2. Support and work closely with the other key contacts responsible for the success of the journals (societies, editors, publishers, third-party suppliers, and other internal teams)
3. Build and maintain strong working relationships with your internal and external stakeholders through trust, reliability, and expertise
4. Continuously monitor editorial and production processes, ensuring deadlines are met from submission to publication
5. Use reporting to spot trends in data and drive process improvements for maximum speed and efficiency
Requirements
6. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable you to build strong relationships with customers/stakeholders
7. You can learn new systems and technical processes/workflows, and your communication skills allow you to articulate technical problems to a variety of stakeholders in an understandable way
8. You thrive on autonomy, and you’re comfortable driving results and change through virtual relationships
