ATG are looking for a Structural Engineer to join a growing team in Belfast. This role will involve designing and analyzing structural components for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and delivering efficient solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and clients, gaining valuable experience in structural design and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and analyze structural elements in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry for various building and infrastructure projects.
* Prepare and review structural calculations, technical drawings, and design reports.
* Work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop integrated design solutions.
* Ensure compliance with British Standards, Eurocodes, and Northern Ireland Building Regulations.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments to support project delivery.
* Assist in feasibility studies, planning applications, and risk assessments.
* Provide technical support to junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Use industry software such as Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, ETABS, or similar.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in structural design and project delivery.
* Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or IStructE (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and Northern Ireland Building Regulations.
* Experience with structural design software such as Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
* Experience working on commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
