Key Responsibilities
Provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized, holistic patient care in conjunction with the inter‑professional team. Act as a professional role model and clinical teacher as a proficient practitioner in SACT care. Provide effective mentorship and supervision and participate in the education and training of nursing and non‑nursing staff. Take charge of the Day Care Unit as required, liaising closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse. Perform the Clinic Nurse Role at times – coordinating all prescriptions, blood tests and confirmations in advance so that treatment production/dispensary occurs in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
Band 6 Nurses who are already experienced and Chemotherapy competent. Must have completed a SACT course. Please note this advert may close early upon receiving a high volume of applications.
Working Hours & Conditions
The unit is primarily open Monday‑Friday with smaller numbers of patients treated at the weekends. Offers posts to both full‑time and part‑time staff. Nurses work a variety of day shifts.
