Our client, based in Leeds 11, is seeking an ambitious and proactive Administrative Assistant for a renowned heating and plumbing supplier. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30 5.00 p.m. and 8.30 4.00 p.m. on a Friday with one hour for lunch. Salary £22,500 plus benefits. Working closely with the Sales Office Manager and the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the successful Admin Assistant will become a valuable member of the general administration team providing a wide ranging and comprehensive support service to the broader team. Although this role is predominantly office based, it does offer variety and can include working in other departments from time to time. Full training will be given along with opportunity to pursue formal qualifications where necessary. This is a varied role supporting the Sales Administration and Warehouse Administration teams and as such experience of working in a similar environment is required. Key Responsibilities General office administration duties Serving as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and directing enquiries to the appropriate departments. Assisting customers and clients with enquiries, orders, and requests in a professional and courteous manner. to ensure all deadlines are met Resolving customer complaints, which will often include investigations and analysis Processing of product returns, and communication with customers to provide updates Process sales orders, from multiple platforms and identify any up-selling opportunities Booking of carriers and ensuring all collections are made on time Be flexible in approach, to assist and cover all aspects of administration support when required Adopt an approach of continuous improvement Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems, including updating contact lists, managing documents, and organizing files.
