An opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (BAND 6) to join the Dumfries Specialist Eating Disorders Service, working as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a small number of patients who have been referred to the service for support and treatment of their diagnosed eating disorder, and to provide advice, training and support to medical and nursing staff to implement safe and effective evidence based interventions and treatment specific to eating disorders.
The post holder will work with colleagues from Mental Health and the Acute & Diagnostic Services to support and further develop the Specialist Eating Disorder Service, patient pathway and support staff development to enhance patient recovery and ensure robust mental health treatment and support.
You must be able to demonstrate that you possess the skills and abilities necessary to effectively work within a clinical team in order to support safe – Thursday 9-5pm role and there are no shift requirements. There will also be one day per week working within the Dumfries CMHNT, which will be a Monday or Friday.
