Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare. The English and Maths team work across all of our campuses. Day to day duties of the role To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete, face to face and on-line. Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available. To complete and use initial assessments of learners (BKSB/MathsWatch), to ensure that their learning needs are met. To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students effectively. Required skills and qualifications Degree-level qualification, which is appropriate to the work. All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognized Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain a Certificate in Education within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College. Ability to teach GCSE and Functional Skills maths entry Level - to level 2. Postgraduate and/or relevant professional experience.
