Adjunct Faculty – Human Resources Management (UMGC Europe)

Location: Lakenheath, United Kingdom

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the United Kingdom for the Human Resources Management program.


Qualifications

* Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field from an accredited institution.
* 3–5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Management.
* Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
* Local applicant only; must maintain valid legal status in the country of application.


Responsibilities

* Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and convey genuine energy and enthusiasm for learning.
* Guide students in collaboration and application of learning in problem- and project‑based learning demonstrations.
* Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for assessment of student work, and acknowledge student accomplishments.
* Demonstrate current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
* Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.


Training

Each new faculty member is required to complete the online new faculty orientation, FacDev 122, as a condition of hire.


Compensation

Salary commensurate with experience.


Hiring Range by Degree

Non‑PhD: Step 1 $903 – Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour

PhD: Step 1 $931 – Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour
