Southend Hospital has a busy Surgical Department providing elective General Surgery, Colorectal and benign Upper GI services as well as a Complex Pelvic Cancer service.
We have 2 FY2 level vacancies in General Surgery. The position would suit doctors interested in surgical careers, who have completed Foundation training, and wish to spend a year gaining further experience in a range of surgical specialties, before entering core training programmes. In addition, they provide an alternative for those outside Deanery core surgery programmes, to build a surgical portfolio, and cater for a range of experience from FY2 to post-CT/ST2 level.
These are non Deanery posts and require full GMC registration with licence to practice.
