Lead Landscape Projects That Shape the Future
We're looking for an experienced Associate Landscape Architect to take a lead role in delivering outstanding landscape planning projects across Yorkshire and beyond.
This is a chance to combine your technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for creating better places for people and nature. You'll work on a varied mix of urban regeneration, rural enhancement, and infrastructure projects - often collaborating with in-house specialists in ecology, green/blue infrastructure, and arboriculture.
The Company
Our client is a forward-thinking consultancy where innovation and creativity come first. They value collaboration, celebrate success, and support each other every step of the way.
They also believe in giving back to their team, their clients, and their communities. That's why they offer a 4-day working week with full-time pay, helping you achieve a better work-life balance without compromising your career ambitions.
The Role
As Associate Landscape Architect, you will:
* Lead the delivery of landscape planning projects from feasibility to completion.
* Shape development proposals, ensuring landscape considerations remain central.
* Produce and review key reports including LVAs, LVIAs, EIAs, feasibility studies, and strategic proposals.
* Provide expert advice on landscape character and visual matters.
* Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, budgets, and timelines.
* Build strong relationships with clients, statutory bodies, and LPAs.
* Seek new business opportunities and contribute to company growth.
* Mentor and support less experienced team members.
About You
You're a confident leader with strong project management skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to inspire others. You understand the importance of landscape in shaping sustainable, climate-resilient places, and you're ready to take a proactive role in delivering that vision.
Essential:
* Degree in a relevant subject.
* Minimum 6 years experience, ideally CMLI.
* Strong track record in LVIAs, LVAs, and mitigation/landscape design strategies.
* Proficiency in EIA and thorough understanding of UK planning policy.
* Experience providing due diligence advice to clients.
* Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Business development and client relationship management skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Experience as an expert witness.
* Desire to mentor team members.
What's on Offer
* 4-day working week with full-time pay.
* Competitive salary based on experience.
* Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
* Collaborative and inclusive culture.
* Ongoing professional development and clear progression routes.
If you're ready to take the lead on impactful landscape projects and want to work somewhere that values innovation, balance, and creativity, we'd love to hear from you.
