An exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly developed division of Urgent and Emergency Care for the position of Junior Sister/Registered Practitioner in our Emergency Department.
You will work with all members of the department clinical teams and within the wider multidisciplinary team. You will maintain a high standard of patient care working alongside the senior sister/registered practitioner in charge and accepting delegated responsibility for the provision of professional and managerial leadership for the patients in the Emergency Department.
At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) / Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Trust Policies. You will participate in developing action plans, protocols, and pathways to ensure continuous quality improvement for the service, contributing to the strategic development of patient and healthcare services. You will deputise for the senior sister/registered practitioner in charge as appropriate, while the senior nurse/senior registered practitioner in charge will be in the department. You will encourage staff to embrace a culture of change and ensure commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical practice.
As the successful applicant, you will support the Senior Sisters and Charge Nurses in delivering safe patient care and maintaining high-quality standards within these areas. You will also be involved in ensuring that the department meets its Key Performance Indicators, whilst ensuring that care is delivered compassionately within the Emergency Department.
We are looking for someone positive, progressive, and forward-thinking. You will be enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality care for our patients. Management and team leadership skills are necessary but not essential, as training will be provided.
