Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience)
Additional Allowance: SEN Allowance (to be discussed upon appointment)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and skilled Primary Teacher to join a well-established special school in Southampton, catering for children aged 4–11 with complex learning difficulties. These include speech, language and communication needs, autism spectrum conditions, and behaviours that challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to pupils with a range of complex learning needs
* Plan and implement differentiated lessons that support a wide range of developmental and educational goals
* Establish positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support learning and well-being
* Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to whole-school development and pupil outcomes
* Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience of teaching primary-aged pupils (experience in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential)
* A strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching practices
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* A reflective and flexible approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
