Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | Northern England | Site Leadership Team
Allerton Bishop is partnering with a global, specialist pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint a Manufacturing Manager in Northern England.
The business is entering a significant phase of investment and transformation — strengthening operational capability, embedding continuous improvement, and building the platform for the next five years of growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for manufacturing performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a multi-functional manufacturing team within a GMP-regulated environment
* As the Manufacturing Manager, you will own and deliver the operational plan — ensuring products are delivered on time, in full, and to specification
* Drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP)
* Embed a culture of continuous improvement, aligned to Lean / Operational Excellence principles
* Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, MS&T, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain
* Lead new product introductions, tech transfers, and lifecycle management activities
* Develop and deliver CAPEX and capacity plans to support site growth
* Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with cGMP and regulatory standard
Candidate Profile
* Proven leadership experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing (pharma, biotech, CDMO)
* Strong operational understanding across production, engineering, quality, and facilities
* Track record of delivering performance improvement in a fast-paced environment
* Experience leading change and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
* Strong knowledge of GMP / cGMP and regulatory expectations
* Authentic leadership style with the ability to build engaged, accountable teams
