The Mental Health Care Group is seeking several highly motivated, well-organized, and effective Registered Nurses to provide high-quality complex clinical telephone triage and assessment for individuals presenting with mental health conditions, psychological distress, or in acute crisis. The goal is to ensure safe and appropriate clinical decisions.
The "111#2" team will serve as the nurse-led single point of contact for urgent mental health needs within the CTM footprint, offering guidance to citizens across three Local Authority communities regarding their psychological and mental health wellbeing.
Post holders will act as escalation points and decision-makers for clinical triage and risk management, supporting the Clinical Lead in the operational management of the service facilitated through the National 111 Service.
They will also support the service in maintaining professional clinical standards and be professionally accountable for their functions.
This role is office-based with no remote working, requiring flexibility across 24/7 shifts, including day shifts (08:30-20:30) and night shifts (20:30-08:30).
Main Duties:
1. Manage a team including Well-being Practitioners and act as escalation point for clinical triage and risk management.
2. Support the Clinical Lead in operational management via the national 111 Service.
3. Provide specialized clinical advice to mental health professionals and act as decision-maker during triage of individuals with complex needs.
4. Collaborate with team members to meet service delivery goals and understand service objectives.
5. Deliver compassionate care, evaluate clinical triage processes, and utilize community resources and third-sector organizations for recovery-focused interventions.
6. Be flexible and adaptable to service needs; in the absence of the Clinical Lead, take charge of the service.
