As a Senior Finance Implementation Consultant, you’ll own the delivery of finance workstreams on ERP One projects—from discovery and design through build, test, and go‑live. You’ll guide customer decision‑making, tackle advanced/niche functionality, and play a key part in continuous improvement across Professional Services. You’ll also coach consultants, contribute to our capability documentation, and collaborate closely with Project Managers/PMO to keep delivery running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead ERP One finance implementations on Enterprise and Tailored projects, ensuring scope, plan, and quality targets are met.
2. Own day‑to‑day delivery: maintain schedules, manage risks/issues, and proactively communicate progress with customers and Project Managers/PMO.
3. Guide key decisions on process design, data, integrations, and change impacts—with a
4. pragmatic view of timelines, commercials, and customer outcomes.
5. Resolve escalations end‑to‑end and feed lessons learned into continuous improvement.
6. Deliver advanced/niche ERP One finance capabilities (from the Service Catalogue) and become a Capability Lead—producing clear documentation and enablement materials.
7. Mentor and coach consultants: buddy new joiners, provide structured feedback, and
8. contribute to a strong learning culture.
9. Shape scopes and plans for upcoming work (with a keen focus on the next 3 weeks) to ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery.
10. Drive cross‑team initiatives that improve how Professional Services partners with other
11. departments and elevates delivery excellence.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
12. Collaboration first: you’ll partner with customers, consultants, and Project
13. Managers/PMO for transparent plans and proactive risk management.
14. Continuous improvement: you’ll share feedback with our Centre of Excellence and
15. Management teams to enhance methodology, tooling, and outcomes.
16. ERP finance implementation experience with multiple successful end‑to‑end projects.
17. ERP consultancy experience (typically 5+ years) with strong customer‑facing skills.
18. Finance/Accounting background (qualification and c. 5+ years’ finance role experience or equivalent).
19. Clear, concise communication—verbal and written—with the ability to influence and
20. simplify complexity.
21. Strong organisation and resilience in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments; proactive problem‑solver.
22. Ability to travel to customer sites across the UK; full, valid UK driving licence required.
23. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Nice to have
24. Expertise in advanced ERP One finance modules and adjacent processes (e.g., costing, revenue recognition, multi‑entity, multi‑currency).
25. Deep knowledge of ERP One core finance processes and related best practices.
26. Mentoring/coaching experience and an interest in developing others.
27. Exposure to enterprise‑scale implementations with complex integrations and data migration.
How you’ll grow and what success looks like (6-12 months)
28. You’re the go‑to expert for advanced ERP One finance capabilities and a named
29. Capability Lead with clear documentation in place.
30. You’ve led multiple finance workstreams to go‑live with strong customer satisfaction and predictable commercial outcomes.
31. You’re mentoring consultants, raising delivery standards, and improving repeatability across projects.
