We are a well established family run business in the heart of Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire, we also operate 8 very well established pubs within a similar setting. We are looking for a Full Time Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to head the team and support the General Manager in driving food sales and taking the kitchen to the next step.
Tasks and Responsibilities to include:
* Oversee all aspects of food production and preparation in the kitchen
* Create and develop new menu items, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection
* Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
* Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events or menu changes
* Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in culinary techniques
About you:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, and kitchen operations
* Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
* Excellent cooking skills and creativity in developing new recipes
* Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
