We are looking for a Crop Applications Advisor to join the applications team, based at Hermitage, on a permanent full-time basis. We are open to hybrid options for this role, with the right candidate working 3 days from the office and 2 days from home. As this role is office-based, you are not required to visit customers on farm.

You will possess exceptional attention to detail alongside outstanding customer service, to deliver our products to both internal and external customers. Expertise in UK agriculture is not essential and full software training is provided. Occasional travel may be required to attend training events.

About You
Demonstrate an ability to provide excellent customer service
Effective written and oral communication skills
Possess an assured and professional telephone manner
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
Proven attention to detail
Proven problem-solving ability
Ability to work on own initiative, making judgments, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers.
A working knowledge of the use of fertilisers in arable farming with a practical knowledge of the use of RB209 would be desirable
Ideally FACTS qualified although training can be provided
Self-motivated and tenacious
Flexible approach to work and managing changing priorities
Your Role
As a Crop Applications Advisor your role will involve:
Communicating with customers to gather key information for the processing of their fertiliser recommendations
Responding to, monitoring and resolving customer and sales team enquiries via telephone and email
Confidently applying technical knowledge to support customers
Precise processing of fertiliser recommendations using in-house, bespoke software
Creation of variable rate GPS fertiliser spreading files
Use of MS Office packages to manipulate and format data
Troubleshooting problems with GPS fertiliser spreading files
Maintaining our customer database and company CRM system
