In this role, youll be working across all areas of employment law, offering clear and practical support on everything from contracts and workplace procedures to redundancy and TUPE. Youll help both individuals and businesses understand their options and make informed decisions, and youll be someone clients feel comfortable turning to when they need straightforward guidance.Youll also assist with contentious work, taking matters from an initial fixed-fee appointment right through to tribunal representation. Youll need to have experience preparing and issuing claims, handling ACAS Early Conciliation, and negotiating settlement agreements. You wont be working in isolation - theres a strong focus on working closely with colleagues to ensure clients receive a consistent and well-rounded service."Were looking for a solicitor with at least three years experience in employment law, with this being your main area of focus so far. You should be confident handling both advisory and contentious matters, comfortable speaking with clients, and able to balance working independently with being part of a team. Good drafting and negotiation skills are important, but just as important is a calm, practical approach to helping people through challenging situations.Salary circa £40k-£45k and competative bonus scheme available.
