Developmental Band 3-4 Children’s Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor (Special schools)
Salary: Band 4
Hours: 0.8 WTE (30 hours)
Job Type: Permanent
Base: County Wide, with clinical bases in Warwick, Rugby & Nuneaton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Instructor to join our Integrated Children’s Community Occupational Therapy Team. This is a developmental role offering training and support to build essential clinical skills in line with our service‑specific competency framework. During your probationary period, you will work towards Band 3 competencies, with progression to the Band 4 framework once achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver developmentally appropriate intervention programmes for children and young people aged 0–19.
* Coordinate clinical appointments involving multiple agencies.
* Order, track, install, adjust and maintain specialist supportive equipment for children and young people.
* Provide therapy in clinics, homes and educational settings.
* Support the special school pathway, and work across the service as required.
* Progress through the Band 3 to Band 4 competency framework as part of your probationary development.
Key Qualities & Experience
* Experience as a therapy assistant or in an educational setting is desirable.
* Adaptable, positive team player eager to learn and develop clinical skills.
