About the role
The BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme requires lecturers capable of teaching at undergraduate levels in a flexible delivery model, inclusive of weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes.
* Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work towards clear objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and organised student records.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enroll in a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes.
