Oxford Outcomes is recruiting a Construction Instructor to work at Bramfield House School in Suffolk (IP19 9AB).
Location: Bramfield House School, Suffolk, IP19 9AB
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only
Start date: January 2026

About the role
As a Construction Instructor you will deliver engaging, high‑quality, hands‑on construction learning that promotes pupils’ vocational, personal and social development. You will use your expertise in bricklaying, joinery, plumbing, decorating and more to build pupils’ skills, confidence, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
 * Deliver engaging, practical construction lessons in fully equipped workshops
 * Teach and inspire learners in bricklaying, joinery, plumbing, and decorating
 * Build pupils’ skills, confidence, and qualifications in line with industry standards
 * Create a calm, structured learning environment where real‑world trades come alive
 * Motivate and mentor pupils with additional needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health challenges
 * Work closely with a supportive team to adapt lessons and keep students progressing
 * Monitor progress, tailor teaching and celebrate every breakthrough
