Job Title: Part-Time Sports Coach Location: Alternative Provision, Preston Start Date: March Contract: Part-Time (Monday & Tuesday) - Potential to Become Full-Time About the Role A specialist education supply agency is seeking a motivated and resilient Sports Coach to work within an alternative provision in Preston. This setting supports young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Sport is used as a key tool to re-engage learners, build confidence, and support their emotional wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and who thrives in a challenging but rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, structured sports and physical activity sessions. - Use sport as a tool to support emotional regulation, teamwork, and confidence. - Build positive, professional relationships with pupils. - Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. - Work collaboratively with staff to support each pupil's individual needs. Working Pattern - Part-time: Monday and Tuesday - Start: Beginning of March - Progression: Potential for the role to become full-time for the right candidate. Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Experience coaching sports with children or young people. - A positive, patient, and resilient approach. - Strong behaviour management skills. - A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs or challenging backgrounds. - Relevant coaching or sports qualifications (desirable but not essential).
