About The Role
Looking for a way to make the most of your communication, organisation and administration skills? Join the team supporting our Out Of Hours (in Worcestershire) and you'll get a flexible choice of hours, plus the chance to develop your career.
As the largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group is delivering a new model of Integrated Urgent Care that reduces pressures on services and staff. By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it. It's better for everyone.
As a Bank Coordinator at our OOH service, you'll be a single point of contact and liaison for all members of this multidisciplinary team, as well as other internal and external services. You'll provide coordination and support to ensure the smooth running of shifts - and respond swiftly and efficiently if there's any breakdown in the service. This could include making comfort/safety calls to patients when required.
This is a Bank role that enables you to choose to accept the shifts you want. However, to support our Out Of Hours services, we will expect you to be available to work around 15 hours a week, across evenings and weekends.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee triage, home visits, and call volumes to meet DX Code targets and manage service flow.
* Implement operational tactics like streaming, triage blitz, GP reallocation, and escalation when needed.
* Monitor shift performance using call volume and staffing data; ensure all cases are processed with proper handover.
* Maintain accurate logs including Coordinator Log, breach reports, manual calls, and system issues.
* Ensure compliance with policies for comfort calling, fire safety, and disaster recovery procedures.
* Lead and support Coordinator Assistants to ensure smooth shift operations and adequate coverage.
What we'll look for in you
* Experience within an Administration role, preferably within a healthcare setting
* Proven experience coordinating appointments, staff members and/or rotas
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good telephone manner
* Ability to work within an Out of Hours service; evenings, nights and weekends
Interviews will take place at our offices from 24th November - 4th December.
