National Account Manager - Grocery

£60,000 + benefits
We’re partnering with a fast-scaling food business in a high-growth category that’s seeing a real step change through innovation, marketing investment and strong distribution gains.
The business operates heavily in Private Label but also has a growing branded presence and they’re now hiring a National Account Manager to help accelerate growth across key grocery customers on strategic accounts. With some exciting launches and partnerships on the horizon this is a big opportunity.
This is a high-impact role with real visibility and progression. The business has recently evolved its internal structure, promotes from within, and is looking for someone who can bring drive, resilience and commercial competence to a complex, fast-moving customer set.
Key Responsibilities:
* Private Label and branded growth across a portfolio including Top 8 retailers
* Manage a high SKU-count environment with strong attention to detail and pace
* Build and deliver customer plans that drive distribution, volume and profitability
* Own trade spend, promotional planning and forecasting to ensure strong commercial delivery
* Work cross-functionally across supply, finance and marketing to execute plans brilliantly
* Support business continuity and succession planning as the team evolves
* Potential to line manage (or step into leadership) as the team develops
Qualifications:
* Strong experience in Grocery and/or Discounters (customer background flexible)
* Credible commercial skillset — trusted to “do the job” and operate with autonomy
* Experience managing Private Label essential; branded experience also important
* Resilient mindset — comfortable hearing “no” and working through challenges
* Ambitious, coachable and able to take on feedback to upskill quickly
* Comfortable in a business that’s scaling fast and expects ownership and pace
* P&L responsibility exposure preferred.
