A specialist SEN school in Barnet is currently recruiting a full-time SEN Teacher to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who can create engaging learning experiences, build positive relationships, and support students to reach their full potential.
The role will include:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
• Supporting pupils with SEN both academically and emotionally
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Managing behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies
• Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities and needs
• Working closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals
• Encouraging student confidence, independence, and social development
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to teaching
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young people
This role would suit experienced SEN teachers, mainstream teachers looking to transition into SEN, or educators with experience supporting ASD, SEMH, or complex needs.
