Field Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the IT distribution sector on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. Westcon‑Comstor is a leading name in IT distribution with US$4.35 billion in global revenues. We link technology vendors to our distribution partners who resell software and solutions to businesses and other customers. The role involves managing vendor team activity, improving processes, optimising marketing campaigns, and ensuring seamless execution to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Support
* Act as the primary marketing contact for active vendors, establishing strong relationships to align investment and marketing objectives and co‑marketing initiatives.
* Attend and participate in vendor QBRs, independently presenting when required.
* Work closely with Marketing Ops to ensure accurate and timely administration of MDF and marketing activity requests, and support requests for information from vendors or Proof‑of‑Performance requests from partners.
Partner Support
* Provide customer‑facing support to selected partners in developing marketing plans, securing vendor funding, and executing campaigns that drive engagement and sales with end‑users.
* Manage partner meetings and host events, coordinating stakeholders and managing suppliers and agencies, and work with senior partners and Westcon stakeholders when developing new GTM plans and strategies.
Campaigns/Events
* Coordinate external suppliers and resources for external events.
* Provide event support as the go‑to person for suppliers and organisers to ensure events run professionally and smoothly.
* Work with the marketing team to select event locations.
* Execute digital communications, including email and LinkedIn.
Budget and Finance
* Own activity plans and vendor MDF budgets fully.
* Report MDF budgets per activity or plan.
General
* Communicate Westcon portfolio and values effectively, and create/support new processes to improve marketing performance.
Qualifications / Requirements
Overall, we’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for marketing who can plan and organise with precision and efficiency.
Essential
* 3+ years in field marketing with prior vendor‑management experience.
* Experience coordinating campaigns and events.
* Analytical and numerate, with prior responsibility for budget management.
* Effective time‑management and organisational ability to manage an ever‑changing workload.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Exemplary communication skills, approachable and adaptable.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Willingness to take ownership and accountability.
Desirable
* Knowledge of the IT distribution channel and/or B2B marketing.
* Previous experience with Marketo or HubSpot and Smartsheet.
* Comfortable delivering presentations.
