Accounts Assistant
Private Equity asset manager looking for a part-time Accounts Payable Assistant.
The role provides financial support across both accounts payable and general accounting activities within a group finance function. Responsibilities include processing supplier invoices, preparing payments, reconciling statements, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting the Finance team.
The position requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and some basic understanding of accounting.
The role is for up to 2 days a week, with the potential to increase over time if desired.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices
Maintain accurate payment logs across all our companies
Check invoices for correct allocation and VAT treatment
Assist with preparation of payment runs and ad hoc payments.
Respond to internal and external (accountants, suppliers) queries.
Other ad hoc duties as agreed the Finance Team.
Essential
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable
Experience with accounting software
Experience working with external accountants
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £1,000 for 2 days per week
Expected hours: up to 16 per week
