Job description
We are currently seeking a detail oriented and experienced Financial Officer to join the Marapco team in Carrickfergus. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and processing payroll.
Responsibilities
* Management of Purchase Ledger.
* Management of Sales Ledger.
* Management of Nominal Ledger.
* Management of Monthly Payroll, Pensions, PAYE Returns.
* Reconciliation of Nominal Accounts weekly, monthly and quarterly.
* Bank Reconciliations.
* Preparation of Quarterly Forecast vs Actual Reports for CFO.
* Preparation of monthly accruals/prepayments/journals.
* Responsibility for Quarterly VAT Returns.
* Liaise with HMRC Officials e.g. VAT Inspector.
* Processing Employee Expenses and Travel Claims.
* Preparation of Budgets for incoming financial years.
* Ongoing monitoring of budget vs actual spends.
* Preparation of Year End reconciliations for external accountants.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* FQ Accounting Technician.
* PQ Management Accountant.
* 10 years experience in a finance role.
