Mechatronic Engineer

The Role
As a Mechatronic Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality industrial control system solutions from concept through to commissioning. Key duties include:
Key Responsibilities
* Design & Development: Create electrical control systems including control panels, automation solutions, and industrial schematics.
* PLC/HMI Programming: Develop and test PLC and HMI applications (Keyence, Omron, Beckhoff, etc.).
* Technical Documentation: Produce electrical drawings, schematics, BOMs, and associated documentation.
* System Integration: Integrate sensors, actuators, drives, PLCs, HMIs, motion systems, and industrial networks into complete solutions.
* Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose issues, support commissioning activities, and implement corrective actions.
* Project Involvement: Take part in planning, design reviews, scheduling, and delivery of engineering projects.
* Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, software, and project teams to build fully integrated systems.
* Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant electrical standards, legislation, and safety requirements.
* Continuous Improvement: Bring new ideas and stay updated with emerging automation technologies.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic engineer who takes ownership, communicates well, and can manage multiple tasks effectively.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or related discipline.
* Experience in industrial electrical/control system design and development.
Technical Skills
* Strong understanding of control panel design, electrical schematics, and component selection.
* Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
* PLC/HMI programming experience (Keyence, Omron, Beckhoff, etc.).
* Familiar with industrial automation systems, sensors, actuators, safety circuits, and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP).
* Knowledge of commissioning, FATs, and site support (desirable).
