Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join our Pattern Shop team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and fast‑paced environment within a leading Formula One team, where innovation and precision engineering drive performance on and off the track. In this role you will deliver offline CNC programs for the manufacture of patterns, moulds, jigs, Rohacell, and composite components using state‑of‑the‑art 5‑axis CNC machines. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that components are delivered to the highest standards, on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
* Program offline for 5‑axis CNC machines using CAD models and technical drawings
* Produce components for patterns, moulds, jigs, Rohacell, and composite assemblies
* Collaborate closely with CNC machinists, pattern makers, and the design office
* Communicate detailed programming instructions clearly to ensure quality output
* Monitor and manage workload to meet tight deadlines and delivery schedules
* Continuously improve programming processes for efficiency and accuracy
* Actively contribute to team meetings and cross‑functional collaboration
* Support the Rohacell section and assist in other areas of the department as needed
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
* Work to demanding schedules aligned with car build and race team requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Previous experience in CNC programming for complex carbon fibre components, ideally within Formula One or elite motorsport environments
* Strong understanding of CNC programming and pattern shop practices is essential
* Hypermill and/or MSP programming software experience is highly advantageous
* Proficient in interpreting complex engineering drawings and assemblies
* A solid understanding of downstream manufacturing processes
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Strong time management, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change
* High levels of self‑motivation and a positive, proactive attitude
* A commitment to quality, precision and continuous improvement
* Willingness to work flexible hours when required
