Job Description
This role involves working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Coverage includes the following postcode areas: M, OL, SK, HX, BD, HG, LS.
Purpose of the Role
You will develop and grow the Unilever Ice Cream range in the Out of Home channel by working with existing customers and high-value prospective customers.
As the Customer Development Executive, your primary focus is to territory manage a cluster of approximately 250-300 independent leisure accounts while prospecting for new high-profile accounts.
You will define "where to play" and "how to win" strategies to unlock sustainable and profitable growth through data-driven decision making.
Additionally, you will own and shape your territory strategy, supported by your regional business development manager, to achieve Territory & Sales Growth Targets.
You will lead and own relationships with local wholesaler representatives and may manage a small number of regional wholesalers.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with relevant departments to build improved business plans and share best practices.
* Work closely with RTM counterparts to achieve common objectives in accounts.
* Ensure all data is accurately captured via Salesforce.
* Own and deliver all KPIs set throughout the year.
* Plan effectively to ensure coverage is achieved monthly.
* Prospect high-profile new customers within the territory.
* Build strong, sustainable customer relationships.
* Approach tasks with an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Develop and execute the execution plan in collaboration with customers and the channel marketing team.
* Ensure all JBPs are signed, scanned, and stored in the central location per company process.
* Lead contractual customer negotiations within the Legal & Finance Framework established by your regional manager.
Skills & Experience Required
* Significant experience in a sales environment with a proven track record of growing and developing territories/accounts.
* Experience in developing Joint Business Plans proposals from customers through to management sign-off.
* Ability to develop new and existing customer relationships.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A customer-focused attitude.
* Resilience and tenacity.
* Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office, with the ability to understand and utilize other sales systems.
